Lmao, ‘social’ media is structured to suck information up the hierarchy. Trying to get anything else out of it without investing in a more robust structure is like believing in trickle down economics.

I wish the bulwark had more resources to devote to experimenting with chats, but I’d almost rather you develop some investigative resources or spend some time platforming Trumps victims.

Nothing pisses off Trump more than helping the people he’s already mutilated and discarded. That’s why you have a thousand government approved Epstein victims on the record and none of his.

Think it might have something to do with projecting his daddy issues…

Your account help could be more satisfying if it was a more interactive; but I’m here so it got the job done🤷🏼

You could also create a forum for people to share the horror stories that got them a free membership. Might help people feel more heard.

Regarding Jill Lawrence's article on Republicans and Health Care:

How do all these super pundits continue to miss the elephant in the Health Care Room? - OBAMACARE!! Yes, it should be referred to as Affordable Care Act, or the ACA, but that would remove the thorn in the GOP's paw - the health care plan was created by Democrats (because the GOP refused to be involved in its creation); the health care plan was created during Barack Obama's presidency (the absolute reason trump was ever considered for the presidency by White Americans [Yes, anyone can be president but we NEVER thought a Black person would be considered, forget about elected!]); and the entire two iterations of dtrump's presidency were crafted to destroy, obliterate, wipe off the face of America and the earth any and all aspects of President Obama's tenure in the White House. I continue to marvel that all persons commenting on the so-called GOP Health Care Plan never stop to ask the simple question - Why does trump want so badly to destroy this health care plan? Demonstrably it helps many millions of Americans. Demonstrably it is affordable for millions of Americans. What is this fatal flaw that demands it be destroyed in its entirety?

BECAUSE A BLACK MAN CREATED THE HEALTH CARE PLAN AND THE PEJORATIVE (OBAMACARE) APPLIED TO IT THAT SHOULD HAVE MADE IT A JOKE BECAME ITS NICKNAME!!

It's not difficult folks, put away all your charts and diagrams and statistics, and use your insight.

Have you all forgotten the look on trump's face when President Obama made the joke at the Correspondent's Dinner over ten years ago!?? dtrump will never be OK being the butt of anybody's joke, but the butt of a joke made by a Black man??! Hell to the NO!

And so we have whatever chaos is required to keep you all looking at whatever shiny trump can throw in front of you, while he dismantles all aspects of the Obama Presidency.

Do you not notice because you find it unthinkable, or because you just don't care about the fire of Racism that dwells in trump's soul?

Netflix will need to fund the Arche de Trump project to have its acquisition approved.

Republicans have the same problem with people having health care they have always had, they are uncomfortable with people who cannot pay for it themselves having it. They accept employer provided health insurance, and private insurance as long as it doesn't require public funding, they have on some level accepted medicare and medicaid thought they would like to remove federal funding from medicaid and are working to do so. The ACA is a special affront mostly because it has Obama's name on it. The visceral hatred for Obama goes deep into the republican psyche, surpassing even their hatred of FDR. At the heart of the republican approach to healthcare is the premise it is alright to let people die.

Compliant media is another reason to break up conglomerates. Who else remembers the days when. Between 1975 and 2017, print media companies could not have a broadcasting license in the same market. We all know who thought that it was a bad idea to keep Fox Corp and News Corp from consolidating power in media markets. Hint: the same man who became president in 2017.

I just wonder how much trump will extort from NETFLIX to approve the Warner Brothers deal

For another truly terrifying and very quiet Project 2025 achievement: https://heathercoxrichardson.substack.com/p/december-5-2025

It seems to have slipped through all the other betrayals of the country that this administration is doing. God help us all!

Thank you Eva for providing the link to HCR's Dec 5 commentary on the newly published National Security Strategy. I had read it shortly after it showed up in my inbox and found it truly alarming. I still haven't seen any other coverage on the NSS more than 24 hours later. I sent a note this afternoon to the Bulwark asking them to write about it.

A band I like will occasionally have a live chat or AMA so to speak. They announce the time and tell people to put questions in the chat in advance, or during the time they are online. They, or one member, will come on for an hour to answer. Then people in the community are there at the same time and can chat with each other, too. It's basically a sub stack live but way more low key for the person answering the questions. Not sure how this works in stack. The band usually did it in Facebook. I haven't seen anyone effectively using chat in stack....

I’ve only used chat on YouTube, where it works pretty well.
