Sun Tzu never wrote, "when your enemies are devouring one another, the wise general moves to gain advantage unnoticed while their attention is distracted."

However, if he were alive today, and on social media, I think he MIGHT have written it. Or more likely, something like it, but of course better phrased and depper. Because HE was Sun Tzu, and we are not.

He did write, "If your opponent is of choleric temper, seek to irritate him". Perhaps implying, if he is irritating himself, do not interfere.

The best we moderns have is, if your opponent is digging himself into a hole, let him keep digging. But this is weak tea compared to the brew of the master.

How to dig a hole for your enemy without intervening -- THAT would be a question to put to the sage!

Oh, as a devotee of military history, how I wish we could have Sun Tzu on the Bulwark!

If there is anything we can take heart from, it is that our opponents -- let us strive to emulate Lincoln, and not call them enemies -- that our <opponents> fall as far short of being Sun Tzu's as the ice cubes in my freezer fall short of being the continental glaciers of the last ice age.

Alas, we must also acknowledge that we, the opponents of our opponents, fall even further short of being sages.

JVL's truly beautiful and true echo of Murrow -- good luck.... America.

"Brilyn Hollyhand," huh? Catesby ap Roger Jones, all-time reigning champ of the Effete Southern Name Hall of Fame would like a word. The ground of the Oxford Memorial Cemetery is rumbling with the many turnings of Lucius Quintus Cincinnatus Lamar in his (second) grave. And Cadmus Marcellus Wilcox has thrown down his oft-pierced gauntlet in defiance of this fellow, whom his shade has called "a slip of a boy," and his store-bought, boutique-made potpourri-smelling name.

Quit calling them conservatives. They are not. They are grifters, bigots, zealots, and so much more but they are not conservatives.

"an encyclopedic grasp of Republican talking points" is a bit of a conceptual stretch.

Make the rich richer, the middle class poor, the poor poorer, (aka low taxes and less regulation and small government)

Keep women, LGBTQ, POC and immigrants in their place: subservient, invisible or gone (aka Family Values TM and 'tough on crime')

Demonize Democrats/Liberals/"Leftists" relentlessly with an endless stream of Big Lies (Commies!!!, Socialism!!!, Open Borders!!! Invasion of foreign gangs and criminally insane, Transgender for everyone!, Radical Left Wing Thugs, Left Wing Violence everywhere!!!, Blue cities are hell holes of crime and violence... etc...etc...etc...)

Crush dissent with police state authoritarianism while claiming to be for 'Freedom TM' and Making America Great Again!.

Did I miss any?

They’re gonna need some ketchup or something because that meal looks pretty bland. This kid looks like he came out of central casting for generic Young Republican. He could be the star in the re-boot of that Alex P Keaton show from the 80’s. Give him a briefcase and a sweater vest and he’s in!

"Nick Sortor, a Republican influencer who cohosted an episode of Kirk’s show after his assassination, called Hollyhand a “grifter” and said his campus tour was a “distraction” from TPUSA’s actual college campus work."

Projection and confession, every time.

Politics isn’t left vs right: it’s top vs bottom (Jim Hightower) might even be seeping into the muddled minds of those objecting to Hollyhand’s entitled wealth.

This is hilarious: “In an era when young Republicans are more likely to find inspiration in obese toad memes and beef-tallow recipes, the earnest Hollyhand gives off the vibe of a Latter-day Saints missionary venturing into the depths of the Amazon.”

Let them cannibalize their own.

In the meantime the fucking POTUS has just declared War on Americans and American cities by commanding all the generals and admirals sitting before him to fight “Domestic threats” by the “enemy within” which he considers greater than ANY “foreign threats”!!!

Great article, though I would quibble with Brilyn giving off the vibe of a Latter-day Saints missionary. More like an Ole Miss frat bro.
