Aw c'mon, Catherine. You dispute Stephen Miller's assessment that the era of racial quota systems was a golden age? And you cite the fact that it was the repeal of the Quota Acts--not the adoption of those acts designed to fuel that "golden age"--that benefited us? Well, halleluiah! Stephen Miller is a scourge. This ALL could have been averted if Trump had of been convicted in the senate of high crimes and misdemeanors. He should have been arrested on Jan6 and tried for treason. As well as every person that aided and abetted his crimes.

You know who admired the Chinese Exclusion Act? The Nazis, who based much of their anti-Jewish laws on the Chinese Exclusion Act, Jim Crow, and similar U.S. policies and judgments that denied Constitutional rights of equality, including slavery, restrictions against voting, and laws against miscegenation, to people based on their ethnicity.
The Nazis sought a racial-based legal structure that gave different rights to different ethnicities and thought America provided the best model, and thought that America gave lip service to equality while doing so. The Nazis thought that one difference between them and America is that they would at least be honest that racial-based rights was what they were seeking.

I want to know why you think it's enough to sit around and write sternly worded letters, and create podcasts hosted by the usual group of youngish white men wearing khakis and Tshirts (looking at you, Pod Save America, The Bulwark, MeidasTouch) reporting on, and analyzing every filthy word out of the FELONinChief's lying, foul mouth. I gave up watching mainstream media the very SECOND ABC wrote that check to the Felon, when CBS cancelled Colbert, when MSNBC bounced so many journalists of color, and I still support independent media, emotionally AND financially. But Im tired of the Sam Steins, and Tim Millers and Jon Lovetts and Aaron Parnas' of the world going to the mic every single day describing how Donald Trump is going to kill every one of us to achieve his own ends. Many of us do our best. It is clear that YOU do not have a developmentally disabled relative to take care of so you cannot spend 100 percent of your time on social Justice issues. I am sorry but I am not going to abandon my relative who needs care just to make you (who obviously have nothing else to do) happy. Yet I do support the effort when I can.
Apparently most people of the dominant culture have a similar issue since they apparently still think that organizing a quarterly No Kings rally is "the best" they can do also.
As a black woman whose mother was one of millions of freedom fighters of the Civil Rights era, who marched, rallied, bled and died for our rights and freedoms, as someone who marched beside her as a child, I did my part. YOUR TURN.

I do not care who you are, you could be an alien from the planet Zork for all I care, my children and my grandchildren are my FIRST priority and nothing you can say is going to change that. His biological/ancestral determinism was learned on his father's knee. He uses phrases like "good bloodlines". Unfortunately, like many of his notions, they seem to work for him. He HAS good genetics, otherwise he would not be as energetic as he is. His lack of exercise and poor eating habits would have done him in long ago.
