Let’s not forget that the Russian government (Putin administration) got Donald Trump elected in 2016 through election interference. The Russian government pointing at the USA as if “they are committing violations of international law” (which they absolutely are), is the Russian government pointing at itself, the consequences of its own actions.
It gives some information, that Russia IS able to recognise violations of international law, whereas it claimed to not be able to in the past.
There is a mad man at the helm because the complicit Republican party relinquished their responsibility to the voters and the Constitution. It's all madness and there is No regard for the destruction societies and killing of innocent civilians. The damage in all ways to life, culture, the planet, politically is incalculable.
The Israeli and US leadership are commiting nothing short of International crimes against humanity.
We have a madman at the helm and the Congressional Republicans stand fear-stricken or power-hungry while our country is destroyed. We need just few that can still summon a modicum of bravery to act now. Declare your independence and just caucus with the Democrats before all is lost. The country so desperately needs to end this tragic episode. Be that leader you aspired to be when you assumed office.

So, what happens when a cartoon version of a "great man" becomes President of the United States and the commander of the (as yet) most powerful military in the world?
You're looking at it. Everyday. And there's nothing funny about it.
And I say "as yet" in reference to our military because its power is now being squandered daily on an operation that in all likelihood will seriously tax its resources for an indeterminate amount of time yet to come, all while accomplishing little to noting in the way of meaningful and lasting positive results due to the poor judgement, short sightedness and outright stupidity of the *great man* who's now plunged it headlong into an honest-to-goodness full on shooting war, from which there will be no clear or easy way to victory or to even extract itself from the need to engage in active warfare.
A former president learned the hard way that just hanging up a Mission Accomplished banner doesn't mean squat. And this president is not only unwilling but is absolutely incapable of learning a single damned thing from that.
Thank you Jim for highlighting Dave’s journey. What a beautiful and heartfelt tribute to his heart donor. Modern medical science does miracles and I hope to God the battle against it by the malevolent forces is temporary.
I think the Trump administration has painted itself into a corner with its rash decision to launch an “excursion” into Iran. There is no message discipline among the key players, unlike the case with George W. Bush’s decision making to invade Iraq. And some of the rationalizations offered are so bold that they are not likely to be ever achieved without a ground invasion, including “unconditional surrender,” “regime change,” and having the Revolutionary Guard corps “lay down your arms.” Plus the Navy clearly is unable to keep the Strait of Hormuz open and/or to escort ships through the narrow gulf.

You can call American leadership criminals but please be careful while you blame Israeli leadership. You will be accused of anti-semitism.

Thank you, Bulwark team! You all are the best! Keeping us informed and sane in these wild times.

And now Trump has lifted sanctions on Russia, hoping it will lower oil prices and keep voters happy.
The Europeans are furious. It feeds Putin’s war machine,
Thank you, Jim
