I actually don't see in the long run any real difference; either way, it's the end of a republic of law. But at least DeSantis will take his time, be careful, and gradually boil us frogs. I'm almost 70; with DeSantis we might get a gradual slide into Francoist resurrection of the American South's one-party white supremacist state from 1877 to 1964, and maybe I'll pass on before the revolution is completed.
