Thanks so much for directing me to Flux. I have really been missing that level of discourse. Do you think you might be able to get Sarah to listen to it? Probably not. But maybe JVL?
Thank you for highlighting Michael Wood. I am impressed by him and hope the Dems roll out the red carpet and support him, as well as Geoff Duncan in Georgia.
Bothered by crime? We've planned for your protection. Each and every great patriotic household will soon have their own, in house State Protection Officer for your personal safety. Yes, 24/7 customized police protection right where it does the most good. You'll no longer need to call 911 because your security is under the care of our Dear Leader right in your very own home. But you say you can't afford to feed and house a custom care officer. No problem! We will install Trumpstapo for a small monthly charge, the every room, all the time, electronic threat detection system; now it's right to be white again.
Craig Cree Hardegree has a most excellent facebook post today. He apparently did not post it in his substack but if you have faccebook it is well worth tracking down to read
"Elon Musk shared tweets that said "the left" had killed Hortman and tweeted, "The far left is murderously violent." U.S. Senator Mike Lee tweeted that the suspect was a "Marxist" and blamed the assassination on Walz. Donald Trump Jr. claimed the suspect "seems to be a leftist" and "was a Democrat". U.S. Senator Bernie Moreno and U.S. Representative Derrick Van Orden both said the shooter was a far-left extremist. Right-wing commentator Mike Cernovich suggested that Walz had ordered the assassinations, and Laura Loomer called Boelter one of "Walz's goons" and called for Walz to be interrogated by the FBI.
All of these Trump-supporting Republicans mischaracterized Hortman’s assassin as being “one of them” (Democrats) — yet, none of the Republicans lost their jobs and there was no national outcry over their comments. "
We need to ask ourselves if there was no outcry because this has become simply normal for the right.
Jim, THANK YOU for elevating Ayman Soliman’s story. We need to hear about every one of our neighbors caught up in the improper dragnets of an overreaching government. ANY innocent person detained without real cause is a clear sign of government ignoring our Constitutional protections. Cincinnati isn’t the biggest city and the imam’s case not the most egregious- it’s important for Americans to be informed of all these violations of our civil rights and civil order. We believe in law and order and this ain’t it!

Wanting to say thanks a bunch your commentaries are the reason I joined.
re: from one of the referral pieces, "Our Constitution is framed in generalized language"
Well, I guess so goes the Pledge Of Allegiance falls into that category too.
So the real scary thing in terms of one of THE fundamental tenets of our society "liberty and justice for all"
Trump certainly intends to mete out HIS form of "justice" to ALL
no-one will be immune to it.
the man is a grotesquery of history.
#I guess I should qualify my assertion with a "So They Say" in order to avoid any claims of slander, or defamation, on my part.
So be it
"So They Say" to my knowledge

The Michael Wood Substack piece is well worth reading.

Hi Jim Swift! You answered your phone off duty, enjoying a cup of coffee, and got me, Erica.
I was trying to get to Substack subscriptions
w/o all my personal info flashed upon the screen. I got there. Thanks!
As to the sleeper, he's wide awake: Zoran!
Extremely intelligent, a natural speaker, very appealing (translation: good-looking) and he's for
all of us.
I mean, what' s the problem? Even Democrats
shy away from him. They are jealous.
Zoran has the solution: share. SHARE.
(Sharing is not Socialism.) I learned to share in
Kindergarden!
The fat cats have all the money and a lot of it is
stolen from us. Cuts in every institution that
helps us get by. Low wages, no universal health
care, meagre health insurance, layoffs, firings,
wierd retraction of vaccine availability, and a monopoly of AI.
Given all of the above, who wouldn't vote for
Zoran?
