This is the pall that hangs over us. Now that presidents may wield presidential power unbound by the law, only an election or impeachment can rein in a president, and certainly carte blanche political power can make quick work of such nuisances. That would leave citizens with no recourse but to bear arms for themselves.
Tell me if you disagree. Please prove to me I'm wrong.
Otherwise, this is where we are. It is 1775 all over again. The presidency potentially has far more tyrannical power against us citizens than George III could have ever dreamed of having. In six months, we may all find ourselves fighting for our lives against tyranny. Or not. It's entirely up to them. Just remember they said "some folks need killing." As fantastical as this sounds, such a scenario is extremely possible.
The pictures of Trump with blood on his face and his fist in the air after surviving a bullet will win him the election. We shall watch with horror as America exalts Trump this week. It's over. The era of King Trump I is upon us.
Glad you brought this up; I posted this last week:
I'm concerned w/ all the focus on the "should he stay or go" discussions, some very important info isn't being given the attention it deserves. For example, did anyone hear about this jaw-dropping rant from GOP candidate for NC gov. (my home state) in HCR's newsletter a couple of days ago?
"The extremism of the MAGA Republicans was on display in another way today as well after The New Republic published a June 30 video of North Carolina lieutenant governor Mark Robinson, currently the Republican nominee for governor of North Carolina, saying to a church audience about their opponents—whom he identified in a scattershot speech as anything from communists to “wicked people” to those standing against “conservatives”—"Kill them! Some liberal somewhere is gonna say that sounds awful. Too bad!... Some folks need killing! It's time for somebody to say it.” "
