Exactly…that is what I say every time someone says Biden needs to quit on us, or we need to oust him. He already beat Trump once…if we force him out, or he pulls out over 1 bad night, we are handing the country over to MAGA, and we will get the government we deserve.

My dignity (and those of others) is not an acceptable price for a strategy that will only end in failure. Sorry you don't get that.

What about Biden‘s dignity? He already beat Trump once, and I believe he can do it again. He is doing a good job, a far and away better job than Trump ever did. The problem is Trump. I sincerely don’t believe anyone else in the Democratic Party today can beat Donald Trump. And all I care about is beating Donald Trump. I voted for Obama twice and he won. I voted for Hillary and she lost.

There seems to be confusion here. I am for Biden/Harris --no change.

My responses are only to claims about Harris not being acceptable because black daughter of immigrants.

Then you misread what I said! I like Kamala Harris, and I think she would make a fine President. But I live in one of the states where my vote literally does not decide the presidential election. I live in New York. New York would vote for a pet rock for president if the alternative was a Republican. But you can’t deny that Harris could hurt us in a few crucial states where some Republican and Independents crossed over to our side in 2020. Quite frankly, I think the fact that she’s a woman hurts her more than anything else. You don’t know me at all, but I can tell you I have respect for every person and every facet of this nation. However, as a mother, grandmother and aunt of 8 young females…I am not supporting changing the Presidential ticket this late in the game. If Kamala Harris wanted to run for president, she should’ve run for president, and I will say that about anyone in the field. Also, I’d like to point out, none of them ran. Everyone that everyone on this form is touting chose not to run. They must’ve had a reason for that, no?

This is what I responded to: "She’s also a black woman of immigrant parents, and much as I like her and would vote for her, I don’t see her winning. At least not in the states that we need."

Maybe I should’ve just said she’s a woman and she’s too assertive then. However, the other two things are in the mix. if I can’t give an honest opinion on this forum about the politics of this nation, I don’t even know what I’m doing here.

Oh, please. Me disagreeing with you is not blocking your ability to give an opinion.

But I am leaving now (so one less black woman daughter of immigrants for you to be concerned about).

Oh please. Hillary was a white woman, and too assertive, and the wrong people chose Trump over her. How do you keep missing the fact that I have said will vote for Kamala Harris if that’s who the Democrats put up? And what are you missing about the fact that my vote doesn’t count because I live in New York and New York will vote for her if that is who the Democrats put up? Where are you missing this? But we aren’t talking about me and NY, are we? We are talking about states that the Democrats flipped in 2020. It’s also about keeping Trump out of the White House, isn’t it? Oh, in case you haven’t noticed, I’m a woman, too, and you don’t know my origins. Should my origin really matter in this conversation or are we having an honest conversation? There is disagreeing and there is vilifying, and you seemed to be implying that I am some sort of bigot, when all I am doing is hoping that the election can be won for all of us. Have a good night.

You are out line. You want to play the victim after baldly saying what you said--have at it.

I stand by every word.

I am not the only person here who thinks Biden quitting would be a mistake. And as I said, my vote is guaranteed for any Democrat. What will you say if we do what you want and lose? Is that the result that you want? We oust Biden, we lose, and Trump continues to take the country down the tubes anyway?
