Man I was super bummed when I heard Charlie was leaving BUT.... Tim taking over really takes a lot of the pain away.

I really struggled with how to say this without it sounding like I was slighting Charlie, so I absolutely hope it doesn't come across that way. I've been a Bulwark podcast listener from day 1, subscriber for a year or two now, and Charlie is the OG. Love that guy.

Yes. I, too, will miss Charlie, but Tim will be great! And yep, Charlie is the OG. :)

And that doesn't mean Old Guy.

There was something comforting about Charlie. I've actually become very progressive in the last 8 years (wonder why) and I have a few disagreements with Charlie. But his openness, his honesty, and just his voice always kept me coming back every day to hear his guests and their takes. He's a consummate professional and has honed his craft for decades. It was also just comforting knowing we were all thinking the same things during 2017-2021.

I'm gonna miss him a ton. He was one of the only must listen to pods I have in my feed.

YouтАЩre right. Charlie is soothing to listen to, no matter how fraught the subject matter.

Same. I love CharlieтАЩs sly sense of humor and his wit. But I also think that Tim will do a great job.

Charlie is also so beautifully literate. His use of language is a master class on getting it all working together and going towards the same place so that when he lands a point, it just makes sense, even if you don't agree with him. His style is both the journey and the destination.
