"The Plot Against America" only one season, great period piece with scary political parallels to today.
"Lovecraft Country" also only one season, and you will be bummed it's only one season.
"Eastbound and Down" not recent, but if you haven't seen it you've missed one of funniest things out
"Watchmen" the series; holy shit, what are you still doing here?! Go watch "Watchmen" now! Don't be put-off by the fact that "Watchmen" is based on a comic book. I don't like all the super hero crap either. This is ain't that. This is soooo much more than that. It was most definitely made for adults, not kids. It's one of the most ambitious shows I've seen in a long time, and they nailed it. It's a mini-series of 9 episodes. Do yourself a favor.
Where do I start with great recent shows on HBO?
