Is anyone trying to figure out who is paying for all of these evangelical or right wing kooks? It seems to me that the money must be coming from a few, very wealthy donors who want to keep the current crop of Republicans in office to give the donors more tax breaks and increase their wealth. The total amount of corruption is mind blowing. Someone needs to be keeping track.

The adherents to their a-Jesus Old Testament Smiting God philosophy.
The irony, of course, is that these "lovers of Jesus" forget (or never realized) that over and over and over again in the New Testament, Jesus hung out with the outcasts of society, those who the "in crowd" despised.
The call them selves "Christian" because they are into the glorious term, yet have no interest in Jesus' tenets.
Unfortunately, the "religious" kooks as you put it are paid for mostly by small donations from people who can't afford it. My Grandmother God rest her soul would save and do without to send a few dollars to some radio preacher or other. Not all, but most of these charlatans are as bad as t****, at least the ones that mix in politics.
