“Is America better off with Joe Biden as president than Donald Trump?”

Anyone who can’t answer this question with “obviously” continues to be an enabler. That they put ideology instead of party ahead of the country is a distinction without a difference. This includes Liz Cheney.

Thank you for yesterday’s Juneteenth content.

I don't like John Bolton but I have to give him credit for drawing a vivid mental picture by contrasting bits of spaghetti sticking on a wall to a rifle bullet hole.

Oh Charlie, in the words of the ridiculously stupid former Australian Prime Minister, “ irony is dead, buried and cremated”.

Re Barr, he approves of Trump's illiberal ends, but he seems to prefer democratic forms. The veneer of civic probity required.

I figure Barr is mostly done with Trump because of all Trump could have accomplished if his tremendous ego hadn't gotten in the way as well as believing that soothing that ego through pointless performative retribution would be all that Trump could manage in a 2nd term.

I suspect we’re all going to be shocked by how “un minor” it turns out to be.

Just a quick appreciation shout out for the Juneteenth articles sharing the stories of those who lived it was powerful, as was Obama's speech. It really brings home what freedom means when told by those who experienced it for the first..the joy, the anxiety, the hope, the fear, the courage. All of the emotions and decisions that come freedom of choice!

Charlie, you are 100% correct about Garland!! They did nothing until the House made it impossible for them to ignore.

All of them knew these facts about Trump, that he was a threat to America, yet they blindly did his bidding. They helped give us Trump.

But, now, they suddenly realize that Trump is a threat to the Republican electoral chances. This is what drives them. It isn't a selfless act for America, no.

It's moderate Republicans trying mightily to save the Republican election chances.

If they believed for one minute that Trump could win, they would all be lined up behind him. They're all dishonest.

It’s pretty clear the only reason Republicans like Tom Scott think Lady Justice should be wearing a blindfold is so they can put her in front of a firing squad .

Biden is a good president. He has inherited a mess and has put us on a path back to normal. Americans need to pull together. Through years of both personal and professional experience, Biden understands that we do not always get everything we want. We have to compromise. Biden believes in democracy and the rule of law. We, as citizens, need to relearn how to listen to one another. Governing from ideological extremes does not work. And governing is hard, complicated work. No one group has all the answers. Name calling and fear mongering won't help. It might give you an adrenaline rush, but it wont solve our collective problems.

MAGA would have to recognize our collective problems first, like climate change. All they care about is how the culture is changing.
