I disagree with the premise of the Linker article. Yes, America has made some huge boneheaded mistakes over the past 25 years. But we have done some things well.
Our development and deployment of vaccines during COVID led the world. Our fiscal response to COVID also has been world-leading. Our response to the Russian invasion of Ukraine, until recently, has been mostly right.
America is a great nation. Yes we have our very serious problems. But we donтАЩt need to be тАЬgreat again,тАЭ because we already are.
I may be in the minority, but I believe our best days are still ahead of us.
