This in reference to your comment at the end of your “Long Walk” article about this movie. Here’s the quote

“On Across the Movie Aisle, we discussed Highest 2 Lowest, Spike Lee and Denzel Washington’s latest collaboration. It’s good! It’s a cranky old man movie and I’m a cranky old man. I loved it!”

You may be cranky, but you are not an old man (not yet anyway), and I appreciate you.

I think Jeffrey Wright might be my favorite actor working today.

The score was wonderful!! Almost the best part!

We enjoyed the whole film. But the music carried it all the way. That final scene with the young singer was spellbinding, and Denzel’s facial expressions were those of someone who has the “ear” for music, that passion for music. ❤️.

And did I mention the music??? Special❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Agree wholeheartedly with your assessment. I’m a kinophile and this is one of the best movies I’ve seen in years. I was enthralled from start to finish. Absolutely brilliant!

I didn't love the score, as I found it intrusive; in too many scenes, it was actually distracting me from what the characters were saying or doing. But I did love the movie, in spite of the score!
