I use my public library all the time. I am gobsmacked when people tell me they don't use the library. "Oh, they're just giving away free books and movies and games, why would I want that?" Do people turn down candy on Halloween too?

I've got the resources to not NEED the library, but I still use it all the time. I've gotten to the point with books where there just isn't room for more. And a lot of the books I want to read I know I will never re-read, so why not just borrow them?

Our local library is great. It's new, well-funded and has a terrific interlibrary loan program. No matter how obscure a book I'm looking for, I can get it in short order through that program.

There are plenty of programs there too, and resources, like the Maker Lab, that give me access to tools I don't have at home, like laser cutters and whatnot. It's just great and I'm really happy to have it.

I use my Library but not a ton. I am lucky to have the resources to purchase books. I then take them to the same Library and donate them so they can sell them and make a bit of money.

IтАЩve started doing that myself. Hate to throw away Books. Much better to donate them.
