As a neighbor and frequent NH visitor, I disagree on Sununu being afraid of losing to a MAGA in the primary as the reason for not running. I think at this point in national politics, Sununu understands that being a Governor with power to run a state is a better job than going to Washington DC and do nothing but fight. I'm no fan of Sununu or his family, but he ain't dumb. And while you're correct that the MAGA wing hates him, he faced MAGA's in the primary and beat them badly. Sununu would have had a tougher time beating Bolduc, but he'd beat Bolduc in the primary. I thinkJeanne and Bill have another term in them, so yes, a Sununu/Shaheen race would be something.

I did not say Sununu would have lost the primary. I am 100 percent certain he would have easily gone up against Hassan. He just did not want to face the shitty MAGA mass insanity. And I have read this is true....alas, I can not remember the sources. Still, after living in NH for 70 and more years, I sort of get the drift of what is going on around here. :)

But he faced the same shitty MAGA mass insanity in the GOP Gov primary. Granted not as much. I still maintain he didn't run for US Senate not for primary concerns but because the job of being a Governor is more rewarding than going to Washington nowadays.

Good point on the Senate job. Oz and Walker kinda show what the GOP thinks of that job. Come to think of it, so does Tuberville.

I was listening to Julie Mason interview Chris Christie the other day, and he was spinning the same Sununu line about the GOP needing to stop supporting unelectable candidates and then immediately says Herschel Walker would make a better Senator than Raphael Warnock so people in Georgia should vote Walker. True. On the GOP side of the Senate, all that's left is the scum.
