I'm glad Fernwood tonight got a shout out. I discovered Mary Hartman Mary Hartman a few years ago, and it blew me away. I hate soap operas but Mary Hartman is incredible tv. The first 10 episodes are jaw dropping and it never slows down. Way edgier than All in the Family.
The YouTube Creator discussion is interesting in that the closest parallel I can think of was in the late-aughts Twitter accounts were all the rage, and that fad led to utterly and deservedly forgotten films and shows. But at least YT has a narrative and visual component. I’m hoping some legitimate talents are found there.
