Rather than go through all the hassle of a will, he had his 320 farm divided into 8 40-acre parcels and "sold" one to each of them for the princely sum of $10.00, with the proviso that he could continue to live on and to farm the land. It took only 50 trips around the Sun for him to be proven right.
