I am old and stopped going to movies years ago, but I still enjoy reading reviews of them and this one was interesting, since it was about the source material as much as the movie itself. Thanks.
Glad to see, Sonny, that you avoided a comment or two about Emily Wilson's translation versus all others since the beginning of civilization. Ha! Thanks for the review. Will see as soon as it opens this week. Nolan has a style!
I have been waiting for exactly one review of The Odyssey and it was this one. In the words of another of another character, "and you didn't disappoint."
I can't wait to sit in the theater and watch this film.
Thanks for the great review Sonny! Death drive? It certainly sounds like a film for the times we are living in today, especially in the USA.

Not watching a Nolan film is not an option around our home. :)
Will enjoy it more so on this background now.
Thanks, Sonny!

Ha, I’m just not equipped to have that argument since I’ve only read the Fagles.

Do you think we could get a Nolan directed Iliad film?
I can’t imagine he’d do that after this, will probably want to try something else.
Iliad was always my favorite of the Homer epic poems, wish he would do it. Still looking forward to this one. Thanks for the review.
