Who is this "fully depreciated" woman that Trump purchased from Epstein? Was it Melania?

Epstein: follow the money, guys; EVER mind the survivors, but follow the money, go back decades, look at the connections. Those are the facts that need to come out. Those are the facts that are more likely to bring down a survivor of Access Hollywood - many seem no longer to care what this vile president does with women, but follow the corruption on the money side.

That "regular voters" aren't concerned by the GOP's partisan redistricting prove that the American voters are not worthy of our liberal democracy. The GOP's redistricting effort is designed to create a one-party state much like the Soviet Union or China with the authoritarian Republican Party taking over, completing the insurrection that Trump attempted and failed at at the end of his first failed term.

Trump and the GOP should hang for treason, but appear to have little to fear because of the feckless Clinton Democrats and the selfish, self-centered American voter.

Anat Shenker-Osorio suggested: We need to let the Republicans shut this down all on their own. We need to say as

“We will not be accomplices to turning the government into a weapon against the American people.”

"We will not vote to finance a war against Americans."

"We will not be complicit in the abductions of neighbors, the stealing of healthcare from elders, and the snatching of food from kids."

"This is a regime of the bullies, for the billionaires, by the bribes -- abetting the pedophiles -- and we want absolutely no role in green lighting their assault on America."

She’s right! call your electeds and the leaders Republican and Democratic in House and Senate

Great takes Tim! I listened to JVL and Sarah on this today. In my opinion, the picture and check are as, if not more damaging, than the lewd drawing of, what clearly was meant to be, a pre-pubescent girl. The Bulwark + member comments on that video are chef’s 💋. Additionally, the reason GM got club fed was because there IS MORE. Dt knows it. And if I were her, I’d sleep with one eye open, and possibly make a video to give to a trusted contact. I think the Biden admin probably didn’t investigate because they thought it was, at least the big cabal of it, Q nonsense and there was so much wrong, and given J6, they wanted to just fix the mess from the prior years. Right or wrong, J6 was probably part of the fire that made them not pursue the Epstein stuff. I believe it was “Katie Johnson” who accused DT and then withdrew due to threats and fear. I think JVLs Awesome Blossom pal, MTG, should find her, and other young victims, and ensure the Q base, and every other decent person who is made ill, and livid, by this, will rally behind them. RELEASE ALL THE EPSTEIN FILES!!! 💥

How do you cut a deal with people who don't keep their deals? It has to be something that can't be taken back with recissions.

Yes - when Republicans turned up the recission card, it changed the game.

If the Epstein files are politically damaging to Trump (which seems likely) then why didn't the Biden administration release the documents?

Biden probably hoped that Garland would do his job and get Trump convicted of something tangible like Jan 6th vs trying to untangle a sex trafficking ring that would likely be bad press for both sides.

Garland is #2 in my book behind McConnell for why we are here.

I think you are right. But if that was what Biden was thinking it was a mistake. Biden and his advisors should have tried to throw everything possible at Trump.

Perhaps it was because BIden was doing things like getting the infrastructure bill passed (which now has signs going up giving credit for the projects from this bill to Trump- who along with the Republicans- OPPOSED this bill. Maybe governing was a good idea?

Biden's #1 responsibility was to stop Trump from returning to power. If Tim is right that Trump is attempting a cover-up of the Epstein information because it is very politically damaging to Trump, then Biden and his administration had a responsibility to release the information in an effort to stop Trump. Yes, governing is important. And to govern you have to win elections! Biden and his administration should have been able to walk and chew gum at the same time.

Nope... Until Trump made a huge issue about it, avoiding retraumatizing the young girls and women who are victimised is more important.

We have new evidence that Republicans would have loved Trump even more because of his manliness and his negotiation skills in buying a depreciating asset for just $22,500. They would have asked - can you do that?

Shaming as a tactic does not work with the 40% of America that doesn't fell shame.

Brad W's avatar

Nope #1: Many victims have been publicly calling for the release of the documents.

Nope #2: 40% is not enough to win an election. If a small percentage had been persuaded Trump might have lost.

Acosta's comment from many years ago suggested that Epstein was under the protection of the Intelligence Community, i.e., an intelligence asset or spy. That would certainly explain one of the many mysterious things about it: where did an under-qualified math teacher get all this money?

Could be that the files would expose some horrific secrets of many world leaders (and at this point, former leaders.)

I believe the point you make is key to understanding why the DOJ, under both D and R administrations, didn't fully investigate this atrocity.

I agree with you 100%.

Tim goes on and on about "Trump's cover-up". But Tim doesn't say anything about Biden's cover-up.

Biden's #1 responsibility was to stop Trump from regaining power. So, if the Epstein files are so politically damaging to Trump, then Biden had a duty to release them. But Biden didn't release them because of the reasons you point out.

Or maybe it just really wasn't on the radar of the Biden administration because they were doing other things, like governing. I suppose I sound naive, but I know I wasn't thinking about it. It was this administration who campaigned on it and kept bringing it up. Why is that?

Hi Reba - the 'dem pedo conspiracy' fueled a key part of Trump's base so they stoked it for the votes and their own psychopathy. If you weren't thinking about Epstein during this time it probably means you have a healthy ability to not get too far down into rabbit holes and just live your life. I, for one, envy you! Lol...not that I'm a QAnon conspirator - but I've been following the Epstein horror for a long time and I'd like to think the Biden admin was just too focused on governing but I suspect that it was mostly down to a lack of appetite to be the standard bearers on this issue - Morality and abused children be damned.

I am hard pressed to argue with you. In my opinion there are just as many slimey people on either side. At best I can say, I don't know what I don't know. I have often thought I knew something when I actually later found out I didn't. That said: there is nothing much more reprehensible to me that a power differential over anybody, but especially a child, or an animal for that matter. I worked with abused kids as a psychiatric nurse for years. It is staggering to witness what it does to a person's spirit.

Trump would love the Democrats to shut down the government. Nobody has ever won that fight to date. The way to fight is to launch a propaganda campaign against the GOP. Coordinated, personal, and nasty. It projects STRENGTH which is what voters REALLY care about.
