Tim Miller and Sam Stein join Nicolle Wallace on MSNBC’s Deadline: White House to take on Kash Patel’s Senate meltdown, Adam Schiff’s explosive questioning, and Trump’s $15 billion lawsuit against The New York Times.
I will say this for the D senators: They have learned to keep talking in an attempt to drown out the attacks, falsehoods, and other non-answers they get from the Cabinet members in these hearings. Often, it’s such a cacophony you can’t tell what either one is saying. But it’s something.
What a colossal ass Patel is in this clip. Seems to me that he exemplifies Ben Shapiro's scavenger type, driven by grievance and blaming others. Maybe these right wing people shouls look in the mirror sometimes.
You know, with all the craziness being vomited on us from all sides of the Trump administration, and all the great reporting being done about the lies and damage being done to our government and democracy, I haven't really heard anything about the insane amount of taxpayer money being spent by Trump and his Quislings on all of these baseless lawsuits. Ditto for the mass-firing of government employees and the administration closing various agencies - along with the thousands of people needing to apply for unemployment benefits, food benefits, and other services through the State and Federal Governments because of being summarily dismissed (fired).
There is soooo much "money malfeasance" being done every day by Trump and many in his administration.
I don't understand why we the people aren't hearing about the "waste, fraud, and abuse" perpetrated by the very same officials who have been screaming from the roof of the White House - and many other places - about their stated mission to rid the Federal Government of waste, fraud, and abuse...Dammit!!🤬
I was waiting for somebody, anybody, to make him shut up and speak with respect (coherence or accuracy are probably too high a bar for Patel). Since when is it alright to scream accusations at a sitting senator during a Senate hearing in the Senate chamber?? Patel comes across as nothing more than a child who feels threatened by anyone who is smarter, more articulate, or right about something than he is, therefore he screams into the wind. But seriously, the Senate (and Congress) need to hold people to higher standards when they are testifying. It's hard enough to take them seriously any more without them allowing the further degradation of our 1st branch of government (i.e. THEM!).
Every time Tim and Sam are together, it's a classic. Watching and listening to them dump on all these fascists and clowns gives me a little bit of happiness.
Why aren't the Democrats shouting that Trump's suing CBS was solicitation of a bribe? Given the absolute lack of merit to the case, the only reason Paramount could agree to settle the case is that making the settlement allows Paramount to launder a bribe for approval of a merger through a legal process. Talking about it now would allow them to bring impeachment proceedings should they take the House and state that they had raised the issue when the people voted for them.
I would like for us to get away from talking about The Left and The Right. Somehow, we need to come together and not see each other as the enemy, but rather, the billionaires and the oligarchs. I’m not sure how - maybe somehow we can redefine anyone who supports democracy and the Constitution as “patriots” and anyone who doesn’t as “traitors” (?) - but I think as long as we refer to ourselves as The Left and Republicans as The Right, we stay divided.
It’s a real possibility, for sure. I wonder if any of the big law firms that didn’t acquiesce would offer some pro bono work to defend free speech rights?
Kockeyes Kash always looks like a furtive, sweaty, stinky, furry little rodent.
I kept wondering if Chuck Grassley was asleep at the gavel.
I am so tired of this B.S.

At least Trump's posture (~17:44) is perfect!
He always looks like he is about to collapse in on himself. He's a textbook example of what happens when you don't do your core work! ;)
I’m still waiting for someone to say “you’re not on Twitter, Kash, you’re sitting in the United States Capitol Building” when he’s testifying

Keep digging and unearth all his bullshit. Also let’s not forget about Musk and the need to destroy his companies.
Let me get this straight —
The richest and most powerful country in the world allows this guy to run the FBI. Really?
Sam and Tim really have no poker faces- I appreciate the honesty that I can see in both of your expressions, but I did giggle

Why hasn't a congressional committee called the head of the Bureau of Prisons to discuss the Maxwell transfer?
Talk about BUFFOON! Cash is an uneducated and unqualified sycophant!

I'm curious, IF Trump sues The Bulwark, will you folks be able to fight back?
I'm sure lawsuits are very expensive. I wish there were a severe penalty for frivolous lawsuits.
I would think any podcasters being sued can combine resources to defend themselves and then file a class action lawsuit, as well.
I hope that you're right, Shanny.
But I fear the lack of deep pockets might not work out well, since even a lot of well-funded organizations have caved.
