CEOs are asking for "Eat the Rich" to win. I am already boycotting large corporations. Do they think they can hire enough security guards to keep Americans from raiding their homes and stripping them like the palaces of Nicolae Ceaușescu or Bashar Al-Assad? There are way too many guns in this country - which they are responsible for - for it to end any other way if they don't push back against fascism.
i just want one of these guys to say something like "You know what, this is an outrage and as far as Im concerned illegal. the president can fuck off, not going to do it. It's wrong, not doing it. Im out of here. Get some other red-coat to do it, it's not going to be me." It's not like tim cook needs a damn job after all. so it's not that ... right? i am suggestion that somewhere in this country people need to believe in something larger than themselves. they can't do it today. and that's the straight line from whenever to trump by the way.
I am coming to realize that CEOs and MAGA are willing to go with Chinese-style state capitalism, which is what is happening. Yes, China has had strong growth for a few decades and has caught up with the US is some keys way. Yes, their system enforces suppression of "wokeness." Yes, their system ensures that companies must operate in accordance with the leader's / party's desires. None of those are legit reasons to want to move to that system. I do NOT want to be China.
Plus, remember what's happened to the CEOs there who got too big for their britches...
Pretexts: Nobel Peace Prize= Putin/Trump Summit. DC Takeover= Gestapo in Blue Cities w Black Mayors. CEO’s groveling = Yawn and easy mark Trump pocketing another golden idol which pleases him immensely. Newsom taking Trump on re gerrymandering in ALL CAPS= Trump’s puny tiresome lies vs Newsom TRUTH. I’ll take NEWSOM’S ALL CAPS TRUTH any day of the week. And, as for wiping out history at the Smithsonian: give me a break, not the end of the world, Stephanie. We got books, we got records. Now, can we get to the real end-of-the world stuff behind all this frivolity: Brown people being sent to concentration camps. Health care being ripped from millions of Americans. Food being denied hungry children. Vaccines gone. Public Schools being turned into churches. Bulldozing a homeless encampment and sending poor often mentally ill people to prisons. And Ukraine! For god’s sake! Being obliterated daily. And, where the fuck are the Epstein files?! 1,000’s of victims want their justice deserved not denied by pedo cowards and their sycophantic enablers. These are the things that must outrage all of us if we’re going to win this fight for our very survival as a Democracy. As a free People. As a compassionate people.

The numbers may favor Republicans, but a bit of an advantage won't help them much in November 2026. A wave election will give Democrats power. And if the Republicans in Texas slice up their districts, that landslide could be amplified.

And what is this costing the American people? All these moves are expensive. Demand an accounting. How many billions is it costing the taxpayers to try to catch a few people with broken tail lights? Where are the benefits to the country?

And the CEOs are silent.
