Just want to emphasize--and I know Tim knows this, but just for the sake of discussion--that a bunch of Trump surrogates, including but certainly not limited to Stephen Miller, were regularly conveying, and sometimes just clearly stating, that they considered undocumented residence in the U.S. a crime; therefore those guilty of it qualify as "criminals."
As someone who also spent the weekend obsessing about all of this, I’m with you — there are so many (seemingly in-your-face) facts that tie these two together in super creepy ways. In the future people will not understand why it took us so long to piece this all together.
