I can’t help but think of all the republican politicians that lied about abortion in order to win elections. Stories about selling aborted fetuses and laws legalizing post-birth abortions circulated unchallenged by conservative politicians and their media outlets. This includes Bulwark favorite, Liz Cheney.
I can’t help but think of all the republican politicians that lied about abortion in order to win elections. Stories about selling aborted fetuses and laws legalizing post-birth abortions circulated unchallenged by conservative politicians and their media outlets. This includes Bulwark favorite, Liz Cheney.
I wish politicians and the media could present their positions with facts and reason rather than lies and smears (and yes, this applies to everyone, not just republicans) but there doesn’t seem to be any incentives to encourage this behavior.
I think there were probably a few nervous politicians comforted by the size and number of protests this weekend. Hope can be found in the darkest times if we turn on a lamp or whatever. :)
