Nice press conference you've got there with the 10 Epstein victims on the steps of the Capitol planned for Wednesday. Be a shame if a Trump health crisis were to pull all the news outlets away. Maybe an operation where JD has to take the reins for a short time.
Of course he's sick. He's always sick. No better way to use that than to steal attention and build sympathy for Trump.
Next week he can make a miraculous recovery and the White House can return to the previous health cover up.
Tim’s observation about Trump’s recent morbid musings was notable because Trump is not known to betray that he has a prick of conscience — he always leaves the conscience part out.
as a nurse - when the heart fails, the kidneys are not far behind. and when the ankles/hands/face are already puffy from fluid overload that the kidneys cannot remove the next favorite place to store this fluid is the lungs. he has been photographed with a very puffy face and open mouth breathing (shortness of breath). none of this is good.
The White House is one of the most secured and monitored places in the country. Wouldn't there have been personnel monitoring the construction crew throughout the process? Why would they have needed to go back to video security monitors to view what had happened? My money is that they did a rush job with substandard materials, and they are now laying the groundwork (pun intended) to blame it all on the subcontractor when everything looks like crap by next Summer.
I am heartily amused by the comments accusing Tim of “Ageism”. I understand his point to be that Trump at nearly 80 with a lifetime of bad choices regarding diet and exercise may be hitting a wall and may be in need of more downtime to maintain his heavy schedule of ruining the lives of millions.
The plain truth is that most 80 year olds aren’t capable of maintaining the pace required to be President. All 3 of the Presidents we’ve had who were nearing this age (Reagan, Biden, Trump) had physical and/or mental challenges that made them not as effective at the the job as a younger person.
Now, before you all accuse me of ageism, I’m not saying there aren’t 80 yr olds who are capable of maintaining the pace and attention required to be President but they are the exception, not the rule. Trump is not that exception and Biden wasn’t either.
Tim, my guess is that a couple decades from now your views of aging will change. For now, your generalizations are, as noted below, ageist. Plenty of people at 80 years old function well and, combined with life experience, probably have better judgment than many younger people. Some, not so well - Joe Biden and Donald Trump are both good examples. But that doesn't warrant the generalizing that is going on here. We all age differently, some better than others, but Trump hasn't been well in a long, long time.
Agree with analysis. We can hope the media will be willing to pursue this story and not be absorbed by the daily chaos and illegal executive orders. You have to be able to do more than one thing.
I am a big fan of The Bulwark and listen regularly. Normally, your analysis and insights are very useful. However, your biases about what 'old people' are capable of in this piece are over the top. Ageism!
Interesting stuff, but I'd like to see The Bulwark to call out Stephen Miller for essentially inciting violence against Democrats (and I suppose liberals generally).
Tim this was worthy of passing mention not a full “takes”. It is unnecessary to dwell on Trump’s age despite the Biden parallels. I prefer sticking to the issues and gross distortions and misdeeds of the administration (I liked Sam Stein on Noem). I still can’t believe America did this to itself.
Oh please. Go easy on trump...for anyhing!?! This ignoramus POS deserves everything hurled in his direction! And his age??? He's too fucking old, period! Give me a break!
Seems like it is him. I was horrified that he posted that about the contractor and the worker. Accidents happen. But also, should a patio be that delicate? Work will occasionally occur around or on that patio. A vehicle at some point may have a reason to drive onto that patio. Anything outdoors should be very sturdy.
As a retired nurse who put in many IVs , those bruises look a lot like IVs

LET'S SEND tRUMP TO HEAVEN IN '27!!!!
He should not be allowed around young women whether or not it's his granddaughter.

It looks like poured concrete with a faux limestone texture to me, which would explain why it cracked so easily.

Oh, please. They are just honest observations, that is all. Relax.
