I can’t believe that after all these years Tur is still asking “if there could be some rational” around ANY corrupt action Trump has/is taking! By now everyone, especially the media, should know exactly who and what Trump is: a corrupt wannabe dictator who only cares about himself!
No business is going to spend a billion dollars or even a half billion dollars building a factory that could be obsolete if and when Trump changes his mind on tariffs and scraps the whole thing. Or when in a little over 3 years Trump is gone.
Uncertainty is fatal for business especially when Trump changes his mind from hour to hour. It's impossible for a company to rationalize spending an enormous sum and have it blow up in their face if a new trade deal is signed and tariffs go back to their normal low level.
This is an insane way to run a country and if the Republicans had any balls left, they'd put an end to Trump's monumentally stupid trade war.
He is simply a toddler having a meltdown- “I WANT A NEW BIG FANCY JET AND I WANT IT NOW”. - a caring parent would take him by the hand and lead him out of the grocery store so he could gather himself.
