Will, thank you for clearly and consistently naming the predatory behavior of Trump & Co. Their language and behaviors are those of gangsters and rapists who deny (or at least delegitimize) the sanctity of others' sovereignty over their government, land, or bodies. It is abhorrent and amoral. We are being governed shamefully by primitive pirates, and we should say so.

Will, you're exactly right in comparing this to how T treats women.

A couple of the possibilities would be catastrophically bad. Unlikely, but a firefight between US and Danish forces with casualties on both sides. Or US four star flag officers refusing to engage in an unlawful war of aggression. That would be the right thing for them to do but would put the republic in a very bad place.

Thanks for assembling all this recent history in such cogent form. His intention is completely clear, but to derail it we need the subtext. We need leaks from the security agencies about how and where the logistics are to be assembled. This won’t be done by a carrier battle group. This will be assembled somewhere on land. Solve that puzzle and it can be stopped. Without the elements of surprise it will fail.

Greenland and Denmark are “just not into” Trump. But that’s never stopped him before.

I can't help but wonder about how Saturday was supposed to be the next D Day chapter in Epstein: DOJ must explain why so little of the files has been released. By some incredible coincidence, was same day he bombs Venezuela and apprehends its president. What a strange, strange coupling of events. 🤔 I assume because the bomb about him in the EpFiles is even more alarming than the bombs he rained down onto Venezuela.

Felonpotus is an abusive stalker of countries. If the leaders don't bow to his demands, he extorts them, or attacks them militarily. Speaking continually about Greenland means he is serious about taking it over. His "success" in Venezuela emboldens him. His regime believes no one has the force necessary to repel our invasion. Or the nerve to fight against US military. Felonpotus has already minimized support for NATO. He'll take us out if it, and probably the UN too. He'll take over the UN building as a resort named after him. If anyone thought these points were absurd a year ago, I bet no one thinks so now.

NATO countries own 33% of US debt. Japan owns 14%. So the expectation is that we accept US invasion of a NATO country while holding half of the total debt of the invader. Pretty sure Poland didn't lend Germany money in 1939. Nor Belgium in 1914. Or maybe they did, but definitely not in 1940 or 1915.

Maybe NATO countries won't try to make Americans bleed on Greenland. But maybe. Europeans have a longer history with territorial wars. And Canadian know that it is getting closer to the time when the bully needs to be punched back before they cross the 49th parallel.

Something like 87% of Greenlanders are Inuit people, Canada can open up a military base in Greenland with 40K troops to protect the Inuit people. Anybody looking at a map can see that Greenland is part of Canada.

What are we doing by rejecting our allies? I don't understand how anyone can think this will work out well long term.

I'm assuming Trump & friends believe Europe doesn't want a two front war--Greenland vs US and Ukraine vs Russia--and thus this is THE time to press for Greenland. Everyone (but Russia & Trump) want the US to be part of Ukraine security guarantees and those negotiations are taking place before Putin rejects the overall plan. Trump should have a couple of bites at the Greenland apple.

Were we to see the full Epstein files, we'd learn how--and upon whom-- Trump established his predation bona fides.

This Greenland nonsense is both laughable and sad.. The only function is to distract the Democrats and the media from staying focused on the Epstein files. It seems to be working perfectly. SMH.
