Tim, thank you for this. As the mainstream media seems to have amnesia about Ukraine, and Trump's absolute ignoring the atrocities that Putin continues to bombard those innocent people, you are shining a light on the treasonous regime that has taken over our government. We can all repost it to our social media accounts so others who don't ever seek truth must also see it.

Love Caolan Robertson! He just did some great reporting from the frontlines and crossover videos on Luke Beasley’s channel too. Their trip and discussions with soldiers on the frontlines are very insightful and powerful.

Hmm. Putin stops bombing civilian areas whenever Trump or one of his cabal is around? Sounds like a ripe situation for Ukraine to use an unconventional tactic.

How is it not an act of war for Russia to bomb the British Embassy or the EU headquarters?

This is appalling. Trump is owned by Putin. Just today Trump was saying AGAIN that he was going to get “tough” with Putin. Won’t ANYONE in Trump’s Administration challenge Trump on how weak he is with this “boy who cried wolf” then do nothing but roll out the red carpet for the Russian War Criminal.

Did the press actually ask Trump specifically about this deadline?

The US not giving Ukraine everything they need to defend themselves and win is immoral. Thank you for sharing this.

A Russian drone landed in Poland? I feel like that should be bigger news.

The jamming of E.U. Commission President Ursula von der Leyen’s plane’s GPS navigation system over Bulgaria is getting far less attention in the U.S. than I’d expect.

Her flight landed safely with backup systems, but it appeared to be a targeted attack on the leader of the E.U., and Bulgaria yesterday confirmed it was Russian jamming.

Unlike in the U.S., where all instrument flights are required to have terrestrial backups to GPS, in the European Union some airports (including a few fairly large commercial ones) lack radio guidance systems.

Russia knows all this, and given the plane’s flight plan and the weather, it was unlikely to cause a crash. But it sent a clear signal that another flight, in different conditions, could have ended in tragedy. So this is a really serious provocation.

Great question. I heard an interview with a Russian expert who said the Russians have been doing this for a very long time. All plane traffic has had back up processes for years. Questions remain for sure. check it out. https://www.npr.org/2025/09/02/nx-s1-5524922/russia-accused-of-jamming-gps-system-on-plane-carrying-eus-top-leader

The American media ignore a lot of stories that get big coverage in Europe. A worse example is Trump's demand that Switzerland pay him a bribe to avoid tariffs. I only heard the story from a single American YouTuber, but it was apparently a top story in the European press.

“[I]t was apparently a top story in the European press.” Are you sure? European papers are available online, and the European press hasn’t generally shown an aversion to reporting negatively about Trump, but I can’t find any independent reporting — just the one story referenced by the YouTuber and circular tertiary references to it.

An inability for me to find something in five minutes of searching doesn’t prove anything, but in order to say it’s a “worse example” than the well-substantiated GPS jamming story, I’d need more substantiation.

Most of the relevant articles would probably be in German or French. My searches normally result only in English-language articles. Unless you often click on non-English articles, the algorithm probably isn't showing them to you.

Tim, It was great to get the real reporting on Ukraine from Caolan. He should be commended. Targeting Russian oil is sound but why aren't they targeting where the drones and munitions are coming from? I suppose the answer lies with Trump and the US not actively helping and Trump's hatred of Zelenskyy. Where are those Republican Senate hawks when you need them? Let's face it, Trump, the people in his administration and the Republicans in Congress could care less about humanity, whether in Ukraine, Gaza or right here in our own F-ing country. Our status as leader of the free world and as a model for Democracy have been shattered. The world use to look up to us and now they are just disgusted with us.

Just last week, Ukraine blew up two Russian gunpowder plants. Ukraine has also been hitting Russian drones at every stage from factories to front-line staging areas. Now that Ukraine is ramping up its production of Flamingo missiles, it will have more and more long-range strike capability.

If the US government were going to specify kinds of targes the Ukrainians had to avoid, oil would be at the top of the list. Biden was afraid of the impact on oil prices, and so is Trump - although Trump has some influence over the Saudis, which Biden lacked. But the US has no say over how Ukraine deploys its domestically produced weapons.

Great piece. Please give us as much Caolan Robertson and other takes on Ukraine as you can. The kids celebrating and going back to school with flowers and gifts for their teachers past empty shoes and into bunkers brings tears of anger and sadness as well as a reminder of the ones abducted and in Russian schools.

And keep Republicans' feet to the fire. Make Thune and Graham and every Republican senator answer again and again why they continue to allow existing sanctions to degrade instead of moving the legislation. Ukrainians are performing remarkably well in their war effort even while Trump continues to stab them in the back. Now, while Russia's oil economy is reeling, anything we can do to help Ukraine to weaken that economy further will save Ukrainian men, women and children and be a step towards a just peace. Slava Ukraini!
