Setting up a contrast between Nixon and Reagan is illuminating. It seems to me that the differences between their personalities/tactics led Reagan (who I think was in ways more radical), to be much more effective in dismantling the 20th century liberal consensus, with much more long-ranging (I would argue negative) impact. If one were choosing a model to follow, that would seem to be the better choice! It may evince some level of self-awareness on Vance’s part to recognize that he has not charm enough to follow the Reagan path!

I don't think The Bulwark should publish audio read by AI. The robot voice is atrocious. And creepy.
What kind of people would view Richard Nixon as a role model? Trump's GOP. They need him to make things they do look somehow OK.
