Lately I’ve finally understood what MAGA people always meant when they said “Biden is weak”. It wasn’t some measure of his political effectiveness. It was only because he didn’t punch back against their needling of him, like a kid who doesn’t fight back against a bully.

Small media can do great things. The MAGA tumor has grown entirely through small media. Big media was never going to stop anything, it lacks the innovation needed to fight a force that figured out how to hack it long ago.

Need to keep pushing back against this nonsense.

Biden actually called them fascist when he addressed the nation. No other democrats punched back. None have yet to organize any meaningful resistance.

Big media has been bought and sold by the money interests. Big media attempted, half-heartedly, to be ‘objective, fair, and balanced’ while operating on a steeply sloped playing field. But the bottom line rules, and big media knows this in the places (boardrooms, editorial meetings) where spine was needed, and is still needed, but absent.

absolutely. they the dems elites in general didn't and i think continue to struggle to get it. i mean who knows there's still time. biden could suddenly realize things and do something ... but he won't. he's too busy puttering around the drawings of his presidential library or something as if the world is normal.

Stop with the idiotic “elites.” Who are they please? And exactly what do you want Biden to do? Lock the Oval Office? Throw Trump in jail? Stop throwing knives at the people on your side.

In general, the term “elites” as it is now used (by the right) means educated. I think the left still uses it to mean ultra wealthy and powerful.

I think he should do whatever he thinks is correct to abide by his oath of office to protect the constitution -- remember the incoming guy tried to self coup, etc...

I forgot this important part -- and will stand the test of time, the glare of history if you wish -- i think that's gives him a lot leeway. But it has to be him, he's the president and he sits at the resolute desk and he took that oath.

Once small hope could be that when people realize the large media is no longer objective and “leaving out facts” it will crumble, it is losing its purpose. The writing with bulwark and other small outlets is better, and the constant “panels” and arguing on cable news is falling out fashion and just exhausting. We can hope they will lose their relevance.

Cable news panels are the epitome of infotainment.

I do think that “Deadline White House” on MSNBC provides very reliable information with intelligent, knowledgeable guests like Andrew Weissman, Ruth ben Ghiat, Neal Katyal, et al.

I can't get MSNBC in my cable pkg, Rebecca, but I used to watch Nicolle, and she gets a lot of well-deserved praise here. I like all of those people.

I'd call Fox "big media" but otherwise I agree with this statement.
