Perhaps because Democrats failed to deliver on that voting rights act legislation? Also.. inflation. I think the perceived economy, the kitchen table politics is what is going to be the largest challenge. I am visiting Mass. and almost every restaurant wants about $20 for a hamburger. Insanity.

Yes, that could very well be. I just looked at two restaurants in my neighborhood, both price range $$ - $$$, and the burgers are $18. Also, some students were commenting on the daily special at the snack bar at school (meat/chicken and rice, tacos, mac and cheese, sloppy joes and fries) is $10. It was $8 last year. That's a 20% increase. That's a big increase.

But price is what the market will bear. Consumer behavior will bring prices down. Don't go out to eat as much and bring your lunch. Inflation is not gonna make me vote for a deranged demagogue. That should be what the voters are basing their vote on. And it's up to the Dems to get that message across.
