A lot of churches have a regular practice of praying for our national leaders every Sunday, regardless of who those leaders are.

True, but there's a difference between the prayers they send up for their guys and the "have God punch them in the face and break their teeth" imprecatory prayers they save for everyone else.

Christian churches are supposed to be praying FOR their leaders. "1 Timothy 2:1-2 - I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all peopleтАФ for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness."

Imprecatory prayers were pretty common in the Old Testament times. David wrote some of his down. They are even called "the Imprecatory Psalms." These were supposed to be directed at one's enemies, not one's leaders, but there are a lot of Christians whose pastors have told them Dems, especially Dem leaders, ARE the enemy.

In contrast, Jesus told his followers to pray FOR their enemies. It is another example of Xtians taking Christ out of Christian.

He also said, "Love your enemies", and do good to those who hate you. The MAGAs are worse than the biblical Pharisees and Scribes.

However, people I know who attend Evagelical Christian churches don't pray for Biden. They pray and promote the return of Trump because God has sent him to make their beliefs law and thwart godless Democrats, end abortion(which his appointments have done) and promote white Americans over all others.
