Thank you. You have just illustrated one of the fundamental truths of a democracy: Every election will have only one winner.

You may choose to support only those candidates who agree with you on your particular issue, which may result in the election of someone who is worse on your issue than the other choices. You may choose to support someone with whom you might disagree, but will broadly be better than the other choices, and also has the potential to be elected. .

Electoral politics is a question of what can be done, not a matter of ideological purity.
