U.S. Rep. Elise Stefanik, R-Schuylerville, said Sunday she expects former President Donald Trump and Republicans generally will derive political benefits from the FBI’s execution of a search warrant at Trump’s Florida residence.
When asked by CNHI if she was concerned the FBI investigation could erode support for Trump, who has yet to say whether he’ll mount a run for his old job in 2024, Stefanik responded: “Absolutely not.”
“It’s energizing Republicans because they see the politicization of the FBI,” added Stefanik.
That’s the lede from an article in the Glens Falls Post Star. So, to Stefanik it’s nothing more than the politics of it.
While Rs like her don't care if T shoots someone on 5th Ave (it would most likely be a liberal - you know, Manhattan (can't trust them, of course T lives there, maybe), would they care if he did sell nuclear or other secrets to Putin or the Saudis or Kim for cash? Asking for a friend.
Stefanik has her eyes firmly fixed on her own political ambitions -- even if she has to participate in shredding the Constitution and the Ten Commandments to get there. She makes my skin crawl almost as much as DJT, because she doesn't have the excuse of psychopathology. She only has cynicism.

Stefanick is certainly NOT the woman Dylan sang about in "Girl From The North Country."
More a “Master of War.”
