We see a few of the end results and the high-level view, but few of us have even been within 100 mi of a G-20 summit. We didn't see _how_ communism fell, we only saw _that_ it fell. So if someone comes to us and says we're doing it all wrong and that untrustworthy org over there is acting against our interests, they can sound pretty persuasive if you're already inclined to them.
