requiring voters to provide a photo ID to vote in person, A separate law added a requirement that voters who cast their ballot by mail include a copy of their photo ID in the envelope. Yet another change approved last year says any mailed ballot received after Tuesday won’t be counted, eliminating the previous three-day grace period for ballots postmarked by the day of the election.
I've had to show a photo ID to vote for years. It's really not that big of a deal. Providing a copy by mail is stupid though AND that disproportionately affects elderly people... who are more likely to vote Republican. But showing up in person and providing a photo ID isn't a hill I think Dems should die on.
