But Vance has turned out to be uniquely unlikeable. I think as his star is falling straight down, his function now is more one of insurance. Trump seems to disdain Vance as much as the rest of us. The harder Vance tries to be mini-me, the worse he comes off.

Maybe they can send him to one-on-one charm school with someone like Paul Manafort, like Putin did with Yanukovych.

Vance doesn't have the MAGA mob behind him, they only love Trump.

He’s got the online right wing audience firmly behind him. I am in a relative bubble, so I don’t say this with judgment. But talk to someone who might look reasonable and quickly reveals himself as a Christian nationalist. I’m talking about the polite dad who coaches soccer, college educated, $400k-$800k, doesn’t drive a pick up truck.

That guy “really doesn’t like” Trump, but of course HAD TO vote for him (three times). He will vote for him a fourth time, without a doubt, but he also loves Vance, Tucker and musk.
