Here is my question about Jesus next to Trump, since Judean men of that time averaged 5 feet 5 inches in height why is he towering over Trump?

It’s because Christians have convinced themselves that they are ones being persecuted along with their Messiah, Cheetos Jesus.

Alan Noble had an excellent piece on The Evangelical Persecution Complex in the Atlantic.

Matt Lewis wrote an article blaming the Democrats for this shit show. Hot to love that clown!

Hearing McCarthy blame the terms he agreed to is hilarious.

Also, he's having all the feels about Dems who said NO to further backstabbing.

I used to think the Republican party had devolved into a cross between the Know Nothings and the Monster Raving Loony party.

Now it's pretty much just pure Monster Raving Loony party.

Two terms explain the current Republican Party:

Defensuve attribution, bias or error in attributing cause for some event such that a perceived threat to oneself is minimized. For example, people might blame an automobile accident on the other driver's mistake because this attribution lessens their perception that they themselves are responsible for the accident.

Persecution complex is an irrational or delusional belief that other people are trying to harm or conspire against them. Delusions can be defined as a fixed and irrational belief.

I’m am using these definitions from the APA dictionary and Study.com

He gets the ball, turns it around and puts in the air. It’s good! The shot is good. Matt Gaetz takes the win for his team, The Washington Loones.

Fitting that Trump is pictured next to White Jesus, the most fake of all Jesuses.

Actually Trump has worked at it.

In 2016 he was the Mashiach ben David, the conqueror messiah, and in 2023, he is the Mashiach ben Yoseph, the suffering messiah.

Re the Cheap Shots at the end: WHAT do these people think Jesus is all about? So many distortions of Christian values so far, and now here’s where we are. Jesus as accessory to crimes and fraud. Head in hands.

I totally agree. I found that picture disgusting.

I would guess that absolutely none, with the possible exception of Chris Christie will do so. They are all afraid of Trump's voters and followers. Being afraid of that group at large is NOT an irrational thing. There are probably some well-armed, less than fully stable Trump supporters who will go after anyone who speaks ill of the Mango Mussolini. God Help our country!

Yup. All he had to do was put the country before his ego. But no, he had to bow down to MAGA, toss every deal he ever made, and kiss his speakership goodbye. Any guesses on who wants the job now. Ds could restore him in the coming vote. All he has to do is regain his soul from TFG and his minions.

I’m seriously wondering if this unprecedented event could result in an equally unprecedented power-sharing arrangement between Jeffries and, say, Oklahoma’s Tom Cole, who managed McCarthy’s floor defense today.

Or perhaps woo five of those NY swing moderates from the Dark Side. Flip This House!

Well, Kevin made history all right. "The New York Times BREAKING NEWS The House voted to remove Kevin McCarthy as speaker, a move without precedent in modern U.S. history. Tuesday, October 3, 2023 4:51 PM ET The vote, orchestrated by a group of far-right lawmakers, plunges the House into chaos."
