What do you imagine my bias is? I have no problem with Conway personally or on many topics. When it comes to analyzing the judiciary, Conway has a blind spot for the majesty of the justice system. He has made a long series of tortured arguments "explaining" how really the Supreme Court is acting in good faith. He is dug in on a hidebound academic's bias toward the beloved system.. The Republicans on the court have not acted in good faith whenever Republican power is on the line.
They have certainly disappointed me on occasion, but, they have also made good calls...
I am not a fan of Thomas or Alito, but, for me, it is mostly how unlikeable, uncaring they can be.
So, my point is, until we know what they actually do, it is wasted energy for me to stress about it...I am also hopeful, most legal people I read, even the liberal ones, have something similar about they won't rule that he is immune for this specific case...
And yes, George is definitely an institutionalist...and as such ,I think he wants to improve them, and point out when they are doing it right...
The court is now acting to aid Donald Trump's subversion of democracy. They've effectively and obviously blocked the justice system with delay tactics. They know Trump is bent on abusing the pardon power to escape justice. The majority of the court is on board with it. They are deeply corrupt; their track record on other matters is irrelevant.
BTW, if George's value is to provide diversity of opinion, shouldn't the Bulwark consider getting explainers from Hugh Hewitt and Jonathan Turley? They are top notch legal minds. And think of the diversity upside.
I consider George a high integrity person who sees Trump and the Republican party fairly & clearly. To me he sounds like a defense attorney for the Supreme Court
George Conway has nothing-to-see-here'd himself into irrelevance.
He also told everyone to calm down when the court arbitrarily refused to address the immunity question for 5 months.
George is not a useful explainer and is no asset to the Bulwark.
I disagree, he is pretty even keeled, even if he thinks things you don't agree with
I am a lib, and I trust hi,m, and think he is right. It is unuseful to catastrohize soemthing beforeit actually happens
Your bias is showing

I certainly agree. Our constitution is being burned to the ground, brazenly, and George just withers. He almost sounds like one of Trump's lawyers.
