A bit of a corollary to this is my somewhat recent realization (though I'm sure my mind has been acting this way for a while) that there are plenty of topics where there's no way a person has the information to have an informed opinion. The realization moment came to me with the Chinese spy balloon. No way joe average citizen has the information to say when it should (or shouldn't) have been shot down. Yet everyone had an opinion, it almost always matched their partisan lean, and they were rock solid about it for reasons. I wanted to scream at them, "were you in the room when the intelligence briefing was made? Do you know how the discussions went between us and Canada? How about any and all communication with China about it? Etc., etc.
And to be clear, I already got this kind of thing about people, the balloon thing was just such a clear cut and obvious example of where the thinking of around 95% of the people with opinions was flawed from the outset.
You do not have to have an opinion about everything is such an essential point and way too many people ignore it.

Really well put.
If you do have an opinion, itтАЩs not obligatory to share it, in my opinion ;-)
In my opinion, that's true. :)
