I don't know what to make of this because the reporting of the facts surrounding it seems so incomplete. Did the "tariff charge" ever actually appear anywhere? Was Bezos aware of it before the blow-up?

And what was actually said on that phone call? (Did it even happen?) Trump's always saying things like "[So-and-so] was very nice," or [So-and-so] was not very nice and I think he's going to go through some things now, but that's okay, we'll have to see..." Does it mean anything? The guy threatens a lot, but he rarely has to deliver on those threats. Did Bezos just praise him a little to get on the "very nice" side of the ledger?
