Will the new speaker ever get to see the mysterious "list" agreed upon by McCarthy and the holdouts? I keep hearing how this person lied and that person lied, but is there anyone that actually knows (or believes) there is a concrete list to prove what reality is? I;m watching McCarthy's press conference while he's spouting rainbows and listening to how he (and the American people) were betrayed by the Democrats because they "sided with the 8 rabid Republican members" and voted him off the island.
The rules are in place for the duration of this Congress, unless the person -- if any! -- that they convince to drink from the poisoned cup insists on changing them as his/her price for playing. I'm looking forward to multiple tryouts of the Parade of the Sock Puppets, and to the scummy Patrick McHenry stuck as Speaker pro tem for a long time, maybe for the rest of this Congress. North Carolina certainly isn't "sending us its best" in him, so he's a logical choice.
