This was great, tim and michael. Tim, your continuing, stable insight & good questioning, and Michael's insight and deep experience, make for a very worthwhile show. I really appreciate it.

You’re a LITTLE worried, Tim??? I’m driven to using CAPS.

Michael snuck in a last minute notion that Tim didn't want to pursue, but which I think will matter. Europe knows JD Vance is a useless anti NATO MAGA acolyte. Marco, however, is probably a closet Reagan Republican. Who actually believes in NATO. Which probably gives them hope, post Trump World. I hope their impression will prove correct.

Regarding our unpreparedness to combating drones, we’re not learning on our feet, we’re showing the world how we failed to learn anything from Ukraine.

What do you think he does Tim? Does he tweet, fall asleep on the couch, gets woken up by a fart, and starts posting again?

About Trump's willingness to use our military, he has no constitutional authority because he is NOT commander in chief because congress has NOT declared war! Per Article II, Section 2:

"The President shall be Commander in Chief of the Army and Navy of the United States, and of the Militia of the several States, when called into the actual Service of the United States"

Note SHALL BE not IS. Pretty clear. Becoming commander in chief is triggered by WHEN CALLED INTO ACTUAL SERVICE that is congress declaring war. This is not interpretable, it means what it clearly says. That it is not enforced is due to the Republicans in congress installing their unitary executive in place of our constitution. Hang them all.

OK, the Iranians are the problem AFTER we support a coup to remove Mossadegh in 1953 for nationalizing the oil industry and install Pahlavi to operate a repressive regime until he is overthrown by a religion-based revolution. The US has a knack for ignoring inconvenient truths like that so that we can blame our victim for fighting back. Hang Trump and the GOP for their insurrection.

Another great podcast. I love it when you have Michael Weiss on. Can you get Cathy Young on one of your podcasts?

I'd like to see/listen to a discussion with Cathy. Really enjoy her columns.

Right, we should trust you center-right folks, and then before we know it, you'll have us on private Romney care. No Thanks. Oh, ACA was what?...

Don't you liberals know that private business does EVERYTHING ON EARTH better than the government? Puh-lease.

Tim , this is an excellent and heartening article on Ukraine now having the upper hand in its war with Russia. Their kill rate is now 1:5, one Ukrainian dead for every 5 Russians dead, with 95% of their kills being made by drones. In one case a Ukrainian drone pilot reportedly shot down two Shahed drones with a Sting interceptor located 500 kilometers (311 miles) away.

for better or worse, people in America would 100% take issue with a center right opposition candidate even if it was the only alternative to Trump

This makes a loud case for us to end this whole madness where we are constantly at war for the benefit of Israel and the Gulf States. Literally this is a case for forever war. Essentially it is demanding Iran surrender when we have not defeated them on the battlefield and instead of us acknowledging that we did not succeed, we will instead try to continue warring with Iran. Everyone just seems to think that we will only be the ones inflicting violence on the Iranians. They will also inflict violence on us and our forces. How long are we supposed to go on doing this for? And how many Americans are willing to sacrifice for the Gulf states and Israel?

I appreciate the conversation and M. Weiss knowledge analysis and perspective in this war - where it’s heading. I’m not convinced of the war hawk leaning with inevitable central right future governance being, he’s proposing today. Solid conversation still- thank you Tim
