Anyway, as for why Iran hates us: the Shah and the CIA + UK backed coup is not a left wing consoirscy: it’s historical fact backed by scholars. I don't think so. Miller and Weiss think ... suggest ... we can return to a pre-war status quo. That's not going to happen for a bunch of reasons:
1. Israel has killed all the leaders who insisted upon restraint to Israel's attacks, assasinations and spying.
2. The new guys have seen that both the United States and Israel are kinda paper tigers, and that they can withstand their blows AND fight back. They CAN destroy US fixed military assets. They CAN rain missiles down on Tel Aviv. They CAN shut the Straight of Hormuz.
3. Interceptors, interceptors, interceptors. Their rate of usage and their accuracy has proven to be decisive. The US has not only pissed off its Gulf and Asian allies by pulling out interceptors to protect Israel, it has simply RUN OUT of interceptors. Iran can attack at will.
4. US public opinion. Unconditional support for Israeli atrocities has collapsed on the US left and is rapidly collapsing on the US right. I was disappointed to see Tucker Carlson's recent criticism of Israel being dismissed as "antisemitism" and being against "the Jews". You are whistling past the graveyard. You think the 2028 nomination is between Vance and Rubio? Noooo ... Carlson is going to run on a platform AGAINST Israel.

I do NOT believe this will happen. Why? Because the greatest military asset Iran has now is not its missiles, or drones, or even nuclear weapons. Iran's GREATEST military asset is the public opinion of the US public AGAINST this war. Why would Iran throw this asset away, and turn US public opinion against them, by performing spectacular terrorism against the American public?
But I think it is VERY likely that Israel will undertake a false flag attack and blame Iran. Watch for it.
Iran has never attacked Israel. Never. Not even today. Israel has attacked Iran, causing Iran to retaliate proportionally, or in many cases, to not retaliate at all. An interesting example is the US assassination of Qasem Soleimani at the behest of Israel.
