Thank you for this. I thought the debate was a tipping point but reading the comments, we're not alone feeling that this horrible event brought on real despondence and resignation. With regard to an Obama-like hopeful starting point to attempt to unite over this, (and I'm not so naive to think it's going to work, and my apologies to anyone who probably already said this, but) maybe the universe that offers grace to DT also gave us a true hero...the 50-yr old small town PA volunteer firefighter who reportedly looked everywhere for opportunities to help his neighbors, and who threw himself over his children and died protecting them. I think even people with extreme disdain for MAGA can agree this man was as close to an angel on Earth that anyone could find. Perhaps there's a message there for a son of Scranton, and hope for everyone to agree on something. [Again, I'm not so naive to believe it can happen, but it feels somehow better to celebrate a life lived with love and service, than to feel completely lost.]

I wish more people could acknowledge that there are millions of good people who support Trump.
They might change if they learn how his stated economic policies will damage us but there's no outlet that does economic 101
