Think of the male singers from a few centuries back who were known by the Italian term "castrati," who were made through castration to retain their soprano voices after the onset of puberty; or think of eunuchized harem guards. In modern times we have what's sometimes referred to as chemical castration. I don't disagree that we need data; but we also need education in just what's really at stake in this culture war.
