These are social insurance programs.
Rita's example of payments to farmers because of the loss of sales to China is not socialism. It is closer to merchantilism.
Regulation of industries is not socialism.
Unless the community divests public owners of their property by basically taking their ownership of corporations or private companies away, there is no socialism.
Pretty sure at this point that few on the Right now what socialism actually is and the few who do know aren't saying because it doesn't fit the political narrative they want to put forward.
