I live in Mequon 53097. It would be a colossal political error for the Republicans to touch Janet Protasiewicz. Her win cannot be overstated. She is very well known, well liked and well connected in the state. She drew so many voters from a huge cross section of the state. I follow politics closely and know lots of people and everyone seems to know and like Janet P. Her campaign was amazing. She is just a normal relatable person from Milwaukee. Many Republicans voted for her; if the Republican Party does this they will make many new enemies and lose more of their former members. The party as a whole is not good for the state. More and more people are realizing this.
I hope you're right. I'm a Democrat, and not from Wisconsin, but I would be extremely angry if Dems did this in my state. At the very least, they would lose my financial support and volunteer, and I would (gulp) have to vote against the ringleaders of an effort like this.
