Hey guys, with these momentous rulings we want you to send in your questions on birthright, TPS, and the asylum ruling and we’ll get into them tomorrow with experts Todd Schulte from FWD.us and Michelle LaPointe from the American Immigration Council. Thank you!

For many years most voters never cared about SC appointments, and now their indifference has been rewarded.

With the ruling against Syrians and Haitians, it seems like our immigration policy could be described by the childhood playground chant, "Tick Tock! The game is locked. Nobody else can play..." with the consequences worse for prospective immigrants than being hit by a shoe and turning black and blue.

You can point all the terrible things that would happen and will happen when the TPS is cancelled but when you have an administration with White Supremacist , Christian Nationalist They simply don't care. 'The administration is nothing but a bigoted cruel cabal of vile folks such as Stephen Miller and the like. They are not going to let up on the Birthright Citizenship issue. Right now they are apprehending, incarcerating and deporting brown and black citizens , putting them in deplorable concentration camps feeding them bug infested , maggot rich food with putrid water. People die in these places. If that is not ethnic cleansing , what the hell would one call it. The 14th Amendment states: The Fourteenth Amendment to the United States Constitution is a landmark constitutional provision adopted in 1868 that guarantees birthright citizenship, due process, and equal protection under the law for all individuals. When one hears justices say it does not mean what is says only tells me their personal biases .

The ruling on birthright citizenship is disturbing--it should have been an easy 9-0 decision. The ruling on TPS is disgusting. Over and over again in recent times, the US has shown that it is not a country to be trusted; we no longer honor our word. These are sad days not only for the people who are directly affected by the "Supreme" Court's rulings; they are sad for the entire country that has lost its way. We must take back the House and Senate in 2026; we must win the presidency in 2028 and elect someone who is committed to unwinding as much of the damage wrought by the trump regime as possible; and we must expand and reform the court as quickly as possible thereafter. Otherwise, the court will negate any progressive legislation or reforms we pass.

The TPS ruling is heartbreaking! The corrupt supremes have no heart or conscience!

Adrian, you continue to be the most clear, compassionate journalist in the immigration space. The Bulwark, and our country, are better because of the work you do in lifting up these voices. From the bottom of my heart: thank you.

Not to be outdone, I totally agree - and hope that we do not crash. Our country is in deep philosophical trouble, it appears. Read Amos 2:1-8 et seq. Our Lord takes a dim view of being inhumane...

Birthright citizenship *is* the law of the land right now, but it shouldn't be. Persons here illegally or on a temporary basis have no claim to the rights and benefits of American citizenship. Why should they?

We should do the hard work to change the constitution and clarify that.

Well if we were back in Scotland, I suppose my ancestors (MacDonald) would have been perfectly justified in subjugating clan Ross since we ruled the highlands, right?

You're conflating people here "illegally or on a temporary basis" with their children. Why shouldn't innocent children have a claim to the rights and benefits of citizenship? You say they shouldn't; I say they should. Neither of us can "prove" our positions. In any event, we can't agree that water is wet, so the chances of procuring 2/3 of both Houses and 3/4 of the states to pass an amendment are between slim and none.

People born here are here legally.

As long as we have one of the two parties being blatantly nativist (and with strong preference for White “heritage” Americans), the war against immigrants will not stop.
