Mona has clearly upset others besides you by the use of that phrase. I am surprised that her own editorial self-censor did not strike it out before publication. It was self-righteous to a fault and dehumanizing.

We are all human, imperfect beings that make errors in judgment daily. And we all too blithely repeat the platitude that learning about life often requires making mistakes in the first place, but then when people make mistakes, we judge them as "moral failures."

Perhaps, she will apologize to the women of the Bulwark community for that phrase, at least to the women who felt hurt by her comment.

She is human like all of us, and she too makes mistakes like all of us, which she can learn from like all of us.

And like all of us, she can earn redemption by acknowledging her mistakes.
