Still, this ties into everything we’re seeing today. These people that are trying to take over the country don’t know how to lose gracefully, or lose at all. They can’t handle it when things don’t go their way. They’re bullies, likely never successful in sports, and therefore Getting revenge in other ways. Sports is the great equalizer. You can’t bully or buy your way into being an athlete. No matter how many golf tournaments Trump says he wins, we all know he’s a cheat who couldn’t break 85 on a good day. Give me a money game against him any day of the week.
I was an elite distance runner, and it taught me many things. Hard work mattered. As did preparation and the right training. Teamwork and camaraderie or more important than winning a race in most instances.Bluster and bullying other athletes would’ve gotten me nowhere. If you want to bully someone, do it on the track by setting a pace that turns their legs to mush
